IAU/UNESCO projects

To commemorate the International Day of Light, called annually by UNESCO, NASE proposes that all its participants and instructors carry out a simple yet highly educational experience.

Although the Day of Light is on May 16, all participants are encouraged to carry it out throughout the six months, from the March equinox to the September equinox. It does not limit itself to May 16 because, as is well known, this date falls within the rainy season in some countries. For this reason, interested teachers can conduct it with their students over six months. We ask that you send us some testimonial photos and the data from the observations obtained during the development of the experience. An introductory material is provided that should be read to prepare for the experience.
